I know I know, it has been far to long. My new day-job has kept me busy day and night in between family life so this poor blog has ben left alone for far too long. About time to do something about that though. Biggest problem I have now is that I have to much to write about, Microsoft Surface Pro 4? Withings Home Cam? My DIY touch screen home automation tablet or do I just start right off with my favorite tech these days, the Amazon Echo? Well if the title and image did not answer this question then I guess you have bigger problems than me.
At the end of November I got a hold of Netatmo's new home surveillance camera, the Netatmo Welcome. What makes the Welcome special is that it uses face recognition to identify who enters and leaves the home. This blog post will introduce you to the Netatmo Welcome and give you a summary of my experience using the camera during the month i have used it and how I have set it up in my home automation system.
We are at the break of something big, few can even begin to imagine what the internet of things is going to lead to. Over 90% of the data gathered today has been obtained over the last two years, imagine the amount of data we will have gathered in 5 years? Dumb things become smart and they are providing us with valuable information. Rather than looking back at 2015 i wanted to look ahead. This post will cover thoughts on what is to come, in 2016 and onwards. I will cover technology which exists today and how it will become even greater when the "things" are connected to each other, connecting the dots... Internet 4.0

Total control of your surroundings is not possible out of the box, but we are closing in on enabling such possibilities. With the era of wearables and connected devices control has become easier and more convenient. At the moment it is not straight forward to set up and not stable enough, it is however the beginning of something great. This post will be dedicated to my set up and utilization of the wearable tech.
2014 was in my mind a good tech year. For me the biggest tech of 2014 was Android Wear. The introduction of the newest smart watches has been one of the best creations of the past year, that along with all the new internet connected devices created something we had not seen before. So what is 2015 going to give us compared to 2014?
So most of the rumors were true. iPhone 6 in two models pretty much identical to all the leaks and the much anticipated Apple Watch. Apple have just finished their live event. Let's briefly round up tonight's launch.
The internet of things is a common phrase describing things being connected to the internet. And it is when i start summarizing the "internet of things" I own myself that i can see that we have come a way. I am thrilled to see so many dumb things being handed a "brain" to work for us human beings. In this post i will give you a short introduction to "My internet of things" and especially the IFTTT service i use to tie them all together.
